Newson’s Yard, Pimlico Road, London

Project Description:

 

The redevelopment of a former timber yard and adjacent buildings, to create a mixed-use development, comprising seven retail units and nine residential units.   The Works comprised elements of both new-build and extensive refurbishment and included the creation of a new publicly accessible ‘Yard’ and entrance arcade areas, along with external works.  

The façades of the buildings fronting Pimlico Road have been retained, whilst the structure to the rear has been demolished and rebuilt from ground level up, with the construction of new basement areas underneath, along with the enlarging of existing basement areas.  

New mezzanine levels have been constructed internally to form upper retail areas, and the large, glazed roof-light over the Yard has been replaced in its entirety.

  • Delivered through the height of Covid pandemic
