Canada Water Plot A2

Project Description:

The Plot A2 is a combination of office use from ground floor upwards, leisure centre on ground floor and lower ground floors.  In addition, retail is located on the ground floor fronting the deck.

The Plot A2 site is on the western edge of Canada Water basin with one primary frontage facing East to the realigned Deal Porters Way with direct views over the water.

The site is located in Canada Water within the administrative boundary of Southwark council.  The site is 21.27 hectares in total and comprises six identifiable areas; the Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, former Harmsworth Quays Printworks and Surrey Quays Leisure Park sites, former Dock offices Courtyard, the former Rotherhithe Police Station and the site at Roberts Close.

Plot A2 is bounded by the new route ‘dock office walk’ and Plot A1 to the north, the Canada Water Dock to the East, residential properties along Lower Road and Hothfield Place to the West and development zone B to the South.  The site is currently occupied by surface car parking for the Surrey Quays shopping centre and a petrol filing station associated with the Tesco Superstore.
